Our Mission is to provide clients with the absolute highest quality of service throughout every stage of the executive search process.  Beginning with an initial client consultation to develop company background and current search objectives, right through candidate closing negotiations, Wakefield Global is committed to listening effectively to the needs of our clients and delivering, on time and on target, superior results.

Wakefield Global approaches each assignment with three goals in mind.

Our style is one of inclusion and partnership with both clients and candidates.  Candor and integrity of communications guide all our relations.  Friendliness and sensitivity in all our dealings coupled with an intense sense of urgency are our hallmarks.

Geographic Scope

Our search firm services clients located throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia/Pacific and Africa. The office headquarters of WGI provides us a comfortable and inspiring environment in which to conduct much of our business while telecommunications, computer technology and immediate proximity to two international airports ensure us ready access to candidates and clients around the world.

Fee Structure

Wakefield Global works strictly on a retained basis with client companies.  Consistent with the philosophy of customizing our services to the needs of the client, our fees are typically based on the difficulty of the search, estimated time to search completion, and projected first year’s cash compensation (base salary plus an estimate of cash incentives, performance bonuses, commissions, etc.) of the position to be filled.

Additionally, flat fee arrangements and/or discounts may be available depending on quantity and/or frequency of search assignments.
The total cash compensation of positions typically filled by Wakefield Global ranges upwards from $100,000 and our minimum fee is $35,000. Please contact us directly in order to determine the specific fee structure related to the nature of your search requirements.

Our Office

J. Alvin Wakefield (Al)

J. Alvin Wakefield (Al) has over forty years total experience in the evaluation and recruitment of senior level management.  Having served in four Fortune 500 companies and three global executive search firms, Al has gained in-depth skills in the successful completion of searches for a wide range of consumer companies in direct selling, financial and industrial organizations and not-for-profit. His functional skills are in marketing, sales, finance, human resources, social media and operations.  Notably, he has been successful in diversity targeted searches for these areas.

Before forming Wakefield Global, Inc, Al was co-Founder of Wakefield Talabisco International.  Al held various human resources positions at Mobil Oil Corporation, The Celanese Corporation, The Singer Company and Avon Products, Inc., where he served as Vice President, Human Resources and Administration Worldwide.  He was previously a partner in the executive search firms of Korn/Ferry International and Gilbert Tweed Associates, Inc.

Al was nominated by clients and selected for inclusion in the Career Makers: America’s Top 100 Executive Recruiters; The Career Makers: North Amercia’s Top 150 Executive Recruiters and The New Career Makers.  He was cited for his superior work in direct selling and marketing, consumer products and not-for-profit organizations.  He has also received the Direct Selling Association Partnership Award.

Al previously served on the boards of The Vermont Business Roundtable, Vermont Public Radio, Green Mountain College and SIAS International University in China, and presently serves on the board of the Killington Music Festival.
